Please review the terms and conditions governing the use of the Qwestrides platform, mobile apps, and services.
Qwest Rides Technologies Limited • Operating in the Federal Republic of Nigeria
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Qwest Rides mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Qwest Rides ("Qwest," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Qwest is an on-demand technology platform that connects riders seeking transportation with independent, vetted third-party drivers. Qwest also facilitates door-to-door package delivery services through the same platform. Drivers operate independently and are not employees or agents of Qwest.
To use Qwest, you must:
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@qwestrides.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Drivers must maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, roadworthiness certificates, and pass Qwest's safety checks. Drivers operate as independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations and vehicle maintenance.
Fares are calculated dynamically based on distance, duration, and demand, and are presented to riders upfront before confirming a ride. Payments can be processed through card, in-app wallet, bank transfer, or cash where supported. Fares are non-negotiable outside the app.
Cancellation fees may apply if a trip is cancelled after a driver has been dispatched and travelled towards the pickup location, as detailed in our in-app fee schedule.
Qwest SOS is a dedicated 24/7 in-app emergency response feature designed to provide riders and drivers with immediate real-time safety intervention. Activating Qwest SOS transmits your live GPS coordinates, vehicle details, and active trip telemetry to the Qwest 24/7 Incident Command Center, local Nigerian emergency authorities (NPF and FRSC), and your designated emergency contacts. False or abusive activation of emergency SOS features is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension and potential legal referral.
While Qwest enforces strict driver vetting and in-app SOS safety mechanisms, users recognize that in-person transport carries inherent road risks. In emergency situations, utilize the in-app emergency button or dial local law enforcement immediately.
All logos, trademarks, content, software algorithms, and system architecture remain the exclusive intellectual property of Qwest Rides Technologies Limited.
To the maximum extent permitted under Nigerian law, Qwest shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform usage.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Qwest and its directors, employees, and affiliates against any third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently deactivate accounts violating our safety standards, community guidelines, or statutory regulations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
We may periodically update these Terms. Continued engagement with our Service after published modifications constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
